General Settings
General Machine Settings can be changed by opening the "General Settings" tab:
In this tab you can change:
Maximum Number of Simultaneous workers
The maximum number of simultaneous workers doing an active video conversion in the server. If your server is multicore, we recommend that you set this number to the maximum number of cores or CPUs. For instance, if your server contains 2 CPUs then we recommend that you set this value to 2.
Each different worker is only allowed one single instance into memory at any giving time. Therefore, you will only have more than one simultaneous worker loaded into memory if they are different workers (you can create any number of different workers).
Or, in other words, for instance, if you only have one worker, then the Machine will only have one single active worker running at any giving time, regardless of the value you input here. A value of -1 means infinite.
Keys
Your licensing keys should be input here.
User Account
The default Windows Service account's permissions may be too restrictive to allow video encoding. To solve this problem, you may specify a different Windows user account which the Machine will use to encode video. We recommend a user with administrative privileges.
To set a different user write the username and password and click the "Set Account" button. |
