Cropping Video

1. Click on Define/Edit button on the Visual Effects tab or choose Crop Video... from the Tools menu
2. In the shown dialog click on the Crop Area checkbox to activate cropping
3. Change the field numbers to define the crop area. The topmost field defines the top margin, the leftmost field defines the left margin and so on
4. Click OK button to apply the cropping and close the dialog. Optionally, you can click the Apply button to see the changes but keeping the dialog open
5. Notice the cropping effect is immediately applied to source video visible in the timeline area

Changing Aspect Ratio

1. Click on Define/Edit button on the Visual Effects tab or choose Change Aspect Ratio ... from the Tools menu
2. In the shown dialog edit the AR field to change the AR
3. You can restore the original AR by clicking the Restore Source AR button
4. Click OK button to apply the the new AR and close the dialog. Optionally, you can click the Apply button to see the changes but keeping the dialog open
5. Notice the new AR is immediately applied to source video visible in the timeline area
