Available in Base and Extended Editions

Turbine Video Engine SDK is available in two editions with the following major differences:

• The Extended Edition includes the FLV lossless codec.
• The Extended Edition encodes using CBR, VBR1, VBR2 and Constant Quality methods while the Base Edition uses CBR.
• The Extended Edition has control over more encoding parameters and filters.
• The Extended Edition has more control over audio settings.
• The Base Edition can not encode Cue Points neither Metadata.
• The Extended Edition includes more players.
• The base Edition can not export frames as JPEG.

New AVC / H.264 Video Codec

TVE SDK is available with three different codecs:

• F4V (AVC / H.264) - the new AVC / H.264 is a state-of-the-art video codec, which delivers stunning quality at remarkably low data rates;
• lossy FLV - the standard FLV codec, suitable for most standard video applications;
• and lossless FLV - lossless FLV codec which is best suitable for screen capture type applications. This codec is only included in the Extended Edition.
