A step-by-step guide to add Flash video encoding to your website.

Step 2 - Install Windows Media Player

TVE SDK uses the codecs installed in the system in order to be able to decode video. In particular, it needs Windows Media Player to be able to convert some AVI video types to FLV.

Note 1 : Windows Media Player is installed by default in most Windows machines. Therefore you probably can skip this step.

Note 2: We'll assume that you can install software in your website, otherwise ask your hosting provider to install this software for you.

If your operating system is Windows 2003, please follow these steps:

• Installing Windows Media Player 11 in Windows 2003 may cause an error as stated in this KB article. The solution is to download an older version available at:
  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/9series/
• After downloading the Winodws Media Player installer, run it.

If your operating system is NOT Windows 2003, please follow these steps:

• Download the latest version of Windows Media Player from:
  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/
• After downloading the Windows Media installer, run it.
