TVE SDK Quick Start Guide

A step-by-step guide to add Flash video encoding to your website.

Step 3 - Install Combined Community Codec Pack

TVE SDK uses the codecs installed in the system in order to be able to decode video. We recommend Combined Community Codec Pack because it includes a broad range of codecs making TVE SDK able to deal with almost any known video format.

Note 1 : If you skip this step, TVE SDK will be able to function all the same, except that there might exist some video formats it can not handle.

Note 2: We'll assume that you can install software in your website, otherwise ask your hosting provider to install this software for you.

Please follow these steps:

  • Download the latest version of Combined Community Codec Pack from:
    http://www.cccp-project.net
  • After downloading these installers, run them and when asked install the default profile.
  • You will also need a ffdshow decoder settings file which can be downloaded here. After extracting ffdshow.reg from ffdshow.zip, double click it to apply the settings.

« Step 2 - Install Windows Media Player
